Founded in 2013, the Marine & Oceanic Sustainability Foundation (MOSF) is dedicated to the advancement of marine conservation and sustainability projects. MOSF is providing information and activities on how individuals and organizations can make a positive impact on our marine habitats.
MOSF is developing geotourism and citizen science projects that engage tourists via hands-on marine conservation activities. We are partnering with organizations in the hospitality and travel industries, fellow NGOs, educational institutions, and coastal community leaders to identify ideal locations and projects. Founded by business and technology leaders with a love of the oceans, MOSF approaches conservation from a different perspective… we understand the importance of marketing, media, and technology, we become an integral part of the communities where we work, and we instill a strong sense of stewardship in travelers and locals through our programs.
As a non-profit, MOSF’s funding sources include philanthropy, private donations, business sponsorships, and grants from private foundations and government agencies. In addition to our commitment to work directly with people working in conservation, MOSF understands the importance of effective communication, a strong online presence, social media, and the use of photography and videography to illustrate the beauty and wonder of life underwater.
